Shoulder
Injuries and pain around the shoulder are very common and often constitute a diagnostic difficulty due to the complexity of the joint and non-specific clinical tests. Most of the injuries are of extra-articular genesis and are well suited for examination with ultrasound.
In comparison with MRI, ultrasound has many advantages such as a higher resolution, the possibility of dynamic examination in real time and comparison with a healthy side.
A well-performed ultrasound examination of the shoulder requires good knowledge of both anatomy and practical skills as well as knowledge of common pitfalls.

This advanced course contains both extensive theoretical and practical blocks.
Great focus is placed on practical learning with a lot of scanning.
Kursens mål
Målet med kursen är att ge deltagaren en grundläggande teoretisk och praktisk utbildning i muskuloskeletal ultraljudsdiagnostik samt kunskap om CEUS.
Efter avslutad kurs ska deltagaren på egen hand kunna scanna och identifiera vanligt undersökta strukturer i både övre och nedre extremitet.
Kursen ger behörighet till våra fördjupningskurserna i MSK-ultraljud.
Upplägg & Innehåll
Dag 1(heldag):
En heldag med både teori och praktiskt ultraljud i mindre grupper.
Grundläggande teori samt patologi.
Deltagare lär sig scanna och identifiera de vanligast förekommande strukturerna i axel, knä och fot.
Dag 2(halvdag):
Teori inom Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound imaging (CEUS). En teoretisk förmiddag med fallstudier, praktiska tips och annat som är bra att känna till i ämnet. Förbered gärna frågor innan.
